NYS Capital District Intergroup

What is the NYS Capital District Intergroup? (NYSCDIG)

NYSCDIG is an Eastern NY State service body of Overeaters Anonymous (OA). We represent virtual and in-person OA meetings in the Capital District, Saranac Lake, and Vermont. We send a representative to our regional board meetings, OA Region 6.

Goals:

  • Further the OA program in accordance with the Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions of OA.
  • Be a communication center for NYSCDIG, including posting meeting lists and links to OA resources.
  • Host marathons and workshops, when appropriate, by vote of the membership.
  • Create committees to further the work of the Intergroup.

Organization:

NYSCDIG consists of representatives from member meetings, a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, standing committees, and ad hoc committees as needed.  All OA members are welcome to attend Intergroup meetings.

The Intergroup holds its monthly business meeting on ZOOM on the second Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.  Email [email protected] to obtain the link if you would like to attend the monthly meeting.

OA Region 6 Information

Intergroups are subsets of OA regions formed by groups of OA meetings nearby to each other. Representatives of intergroups conduct the business of each region. To find meeting information organized according to intergroups, go to OA.org and use the interface to refine the intergroups(s) you seek information for.
